Dr. Schlidt has had extensive experience in minimally-invasive cardiothoracic surgery and continues to add new approaches to address the needs of patients with heart and lung disease. Areas of focus include: thoracoscopic lobe and lung resections, minimally invasive management of cardiac arrhythmias, and the minimally invasive management of hyperhydrosis. In addition, he has performed greater than 95% of his coronary bypass procedures without the use of the heart-lung machine, or off-pump.
