Since the opening of The Wisconsin Heart Hospital on January 26, 2004, the entire staff has been dedicated to providing the very best in cardiovascular care to each and every patient that we have been privileged to serve. The following is a sampling of the many thoughtful letters we have received from those patients and their families. We are humbled and deeply appreciative of your comments.

"I write to extend my thanks for the great care I received and to give a rave review to the new hospital. Everyone was both personal and professional and that helped since I do get ‘high anxiety.’ The hospital itself is not hectic and that is greatly appreciated."

- Rev. Daniel., Elm Grove, WI

"I wish to extend my admiration and gratitude for the fine care I received from The Wisconsin Heart Hospital on September 10-11, 2004. I personally wish to thank Drs. Wynsen and Motarjeme, plus Brenda, Dawn and the many others that gave me excellent care. When you’re faced with your own mortality and confused as to what is happening to you, your people were a calming influence, and I thank them."

-Peter., Milwaukee, WI

"On May 20th, I had an appointment with Dr. Samuel Wann. I had been going to him for several years and I liked him because he was very observant and honest. When I; first went to him I was very certain that I would NOT entertain the idea of any invasive procedures. All he said was, ‘All right.’ I now accuse him of knowing full well that I would see things his way. I did. Dr. (Jack) Manley did an cardiac catheterization and found three or more blockages. It turned out to be five bypasses...

"I was then transferred to The Wisconsin Heart Hospital for the surgery. Dr. Paul Siefert was the chief surgeon. I have no recollection of the surgery and everyone I talk to has a different take on how long I was out so you can take your pick from 3 to 6 days. All this time I was on tube feeding. On Saturday the 29th my kidneys protested and the doctors had to restore them. Anyhow, the first time I came out of my ‘space vacation’ I was singing at the top of my voice, ‘Oh, it’s a good day for singing a song and it’s a good day for moving along.’

"I have to recognize each and every member of the team They did a fantastic job. My eternal gratitude goes to these dedicated individuals that were ever-present, ever-optimistic, and generally supportive.
